Paul McShane to lead Manchester United as a playing coach

Former Republic of Ireland defender Paul McShane has rejoined Manchester United as a player coach with the club's Under 23s. McShane was an Old Trafford academy player who left in 2006 without making a first-team debut. The 35-year-old has joined the Premier League club's U23 team as one of three over-age outfield players allowed in Premier League 2.

The footballer is all set and feels elated to return to Old Trafford as a Player-Coach. "I am extremely pleased to be rejoining a club that means so much to me," he told the United website. He has made several significant contributions in his football career to date. The player has made 98 appearances so far. He started his career at Manchester United and once again he has united with his early squad.
