Pep Guardiola aims to hold on to Silva

The Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola recently shared that Bernardo Silva would not leave the club even with Barcelona circling before the end of the exchange window as Guardiola revealed he will hold more discussions over his own future at the club during the season. Guardiola said City presently couldn't seem to get any proposals for Bernardo however Barcelona are anxious to sign the Portugal midfielder with maybe some time to spare.

Guardiola expressed in front of City's Premier League opener against West Ham on Sunday that he would cherish the event that Bernardo could continue here since he's an exceptional player for the team yet what the future holds is still unclear at the moment. City has proactively sold Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, and Oleksandr Zinchenko this late spring and Fernandinho has left as a free agent as well. However, the possibility of such a vital player of the squad as Bernardo leaving the side would be a harsh blow for the defending champions.
