Petr Cech retires: Czech goalkeeper announced decision to hang up gloves

Cech, 36, won four Premier League titles, the Champions League and the Europa League during his 11-year spell at Chelsea and added a FA Cup winners medal with Arsenal last season.

“This is my 20th season as a professional player and it is 20 years since I signed my first professional contract, so it feels like the right time to announce that I will retire at the end of this season", the 124-time capped Czech international wrote on his official Twitter account.

The goalkeeper who is widely considered as the finest shot-stopper in Premier League history holds the record for most clean sheets in the English top-flight (202), single season clean sheet record in the 2004/05 season (24) - while winning the Golden Glove award four times in the process.
