Pochettino wants two million more in compensation than PSG's current offer

When Mauricio Pochettino signed his contract with PSG, a clause was written into it that he would receive an extra two million euros for simply being with the team for the 2022/23 season. At the Parc de Princes, they feel that they should not have to activate this clause as the 22/23 season has not yet begun and Pochettino has effectively been sacked. However, they are still required to pay the Argentine his money. This is the obstacle that is standing in the way of Christophe Galtier's incorporation as the new manager of the Parisian club.

'L'Equipe' have been the ones to bring this information to the fore. Galtier is hoping and waiting that the situation can be dealt with as he has now fully cut ties with ex club, Nice. The French club have already announced his replacement.
