Portugal beat Slovakia

In a Group J European Championship qualifying match, Portugal faced Slovakia, and the game delivered a series of dramatic moments. Goncalo Ramos got things started by opening the scoring for Portugal. Not long after, the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal's captain, showcased his composure and skill by converting a penalty to level the score.

Slovakia, refusing to be outdone, saw David Hancko pull a goal back in the 69th minute, giving them hope of a comeback. However, Ronaldo, with his unparalleled goal-scoring prowess, quickly reestablished Portugal's two-goal lead by netting his 125th international goal. As the match neared its conclusion, Stanislav Lobotka managed to add a late second goal for Slovakia, but it wasn't enough to overcome Portugal's lead. The Portuguese team held on for the victory. With this triumph, Portugal has now won all seven of their Group J qualifying fixtures, securing their place at Euro 2024 alongside other football heavyweights like France, Belgium, and the host nation, Germany.
