Portugal might face Croatia without Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has already missed three of his training sessions suffering from a toe infection at the wrong time. The Portugal team is just about to defend its title in UEFA Nations League against Croatia. Fernando Santos seemed pessimistic about the presence of the player at the match.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has scored a total of 99 goals in 164 international matches. With 37 goals being in the last season, he became the first Juve player to do that. Ronaldo’s last game was with Juventus where they lost their Champions League game to Lyon.

Later on, Portugal will be facing Sweden after Croatia. Aside from Ronaldo, the Portugal team would be seen without the midfielder Renato Sanches and Croatia will be without Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic.
