Premier League: Aston Villa 1-1 Manchester City

Leon Bailey shot a great equaliser for Villa in the 74th minute after a remarkable job from Jacob Ramsey who assisted with a low cross which the winger curled into the top corner with a first-time left-foot finish. Haaland had placed Pep Guardiola's side in front, five minutes into the second half, after shooting with a fantastic deep cross from the right flank by Kevin De Bruyne. De Bruyne tried hittting the bar with a dipping free-kick but Aston Villa defended commendably against City attacks before Bailey fired.

Gerrard admitted feeling under pressure due to Villa's bad start to the seaso. He also threw on Philippe Coutinho and the Brazilian who had the ball in the net but saw the flag raised for offside. VAR review was not possible for that attempt, but replays showed that Coutinho might have been placed in an onside position.
