Manchester City thrashed Norwich 4-0 to maintain their lead in the Premier League rankings. Raheem Sterling scored a hat-trick. Pep Guardiola claimed Manchester City still had no margin for error after Raheem Sterling's hat-trick in a 4-0 win against Norwich put them 12 points clear at the top of the Premier League. At Carrow Road, Sterling put City ahead in the first half, and Phil Foden increased City's lead early in the second half. Sterling scored twice more in the closing moments to seal his sixth treble of the season.
Guardiola's team has gone undefeated in their previous 15 league games, winning 14 of them to keep their title hopes alive. Second-placed Liverpool can cut the gap to nine points if they win their first of two games in hand on City against struggling Burnley.
