Premier League: Manchester United beat Leeds 5-1

Manchester United defeated Leeds United 5-1 in their Premier League opener, with Bruno Fernandes scoring a hat-trick. Man United's summer addition Jadon Sancho has been named to the bench for Saturday's match against Leeds. At Old Trafford, Mason Greenwood spearheaded Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's assault, with Fernandes, Paul Pogba, and Daniel James assisting him.

The mood at Old Trafford was electric as kickoff approached, and it was amplified when new signing Raphael Varane was paraded onto the grass just minutes after United announced his move from Real Madrid. After a great stroke of technique, Pogba fired barely wide, and De Gea saved Mateusz Klich at the other end, with Rodrigo headed wide from a free-kick midway through the first half. Last season, though, Manchester United has shown their mental tenacity on a regular basis, striking back twice in rapid succession.
