PREVIEW: Great Olympics set to extinguish the Ogya on Sunday

After matchday one loss, Great Olympics will be aiming to make a rebound this weekend when they face it off with defending champions Aduana Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.

I was not a pleasant welcome for the Agorsu Boys when they travelled to the Len Clay, a game that turned out to be an easy one for the Abuakese Boys – the humbled their visitors 3-0.

This will be the 7th meeting between the two in the topflight with Aduana winning majority of this encounter. The Ogya boys have a better head-to-head record over their rivals.

Aduana have won 4 of their last 6 meetings, drawing 1 and losing just one; there has been a 9-goal involvement between these two.

Great Olympics will be hoping Sunday’s encounter at home against Aduana would be different from their last two meetings; they lost at home 2-1 and narrowly lost 1-0 at Dormaa.

It will take a lot to beat this Aduana side with Yahaya Mohammed in top shape at the moment having scored the first hattrick of the season on matchday one.

But Olympics are poised for the challenge as they fancy their chances against Aduana on Sunday.

The strength and readiness of Olympics to be tested as well as their defense with a markup of Aduana’s former captain, Godfred Saka.

They will have to dig deep is they wish to get something out of the game but as their nickname suggests, the wonder boys so anything is possible.
