PREVIEW: Legon Cities vs Bechem United

Legon Cities FC welcomes Bechem United to the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday for their Matchday 6 fixture.

It has not been an easy introduction to the Ghana Premier League for the Royals as they are yet to pick a win after 5 games.

Legon Cities have amassed 3 points from a possible 15 and are 15th on the league log, but they are not perturbed by the position but rather the performance.

This will be the 13th meeting between the two sides with Bechem United winning majority of the previous encounters.

Bechem have won 7 while Legon Cities (previously WA All Stars) have won 4 with just a game ending in a draw. This fixture has produced lots of goals with just one game failing to record at least a single goal after 90 minutes.

Legon Cities have lost 1 game at home to their visitors in the premier league with that game ending 1-0 in 2017 - but have won 4 out of their 6 meetings without conceding to Bechem with 1 ending in a goalless draw.

Things need to change for Legon Cities if they are to avoid relegation tussle but one can only sympathise with them, they have faced solid oppositions so far something that gives their coach hope that things will change for the better.

Bechem United are winless on the road in their last 17 league games with just 3 draws in between those defeats, statistics that the home side will be hoping it continues as they seek first win of the season.

The new boys will be aiming to build on their impressive home performance against AshantiGold when they held them to a goalless draw game as they push for first win of the season at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday night under the floodlights.
