PSG gave away a good opportunity to challenge Lille for the title

Paris St Germain dropped two precious points by drawing up against Rennes with 1-1 and could not close in on Lille who is the Ligue 1 leader currently. PSG enjoyed a lead over Rennes after Neymar was in form and converted a penalty at halftime, but Serhou Guirassy salvaged a draw for his side by scoring 19 minutes to time. The champions are three points behind Lille now and also saw off Presnel Kimpembe who was sent off the field with just two minutes left leaving the team frustrated after their Champions League’s hope as well were shattered this week.

Only two more games are left in the season now and Lille could seize the title after all. Monaco is now two points back with a 1-0 win over Reims. Marseille ended up losing the match to St Etienne with 1-0. Nimes could survive this season after they secured a 3-0 win over Metz. And Hassane Kamara’s winner handed Nice a 3-2 win over Brest.
