PSG took over Clermont Foot at Ligue 1

PSG thrashed Clermont Foot 4-0 at Parc des Princes to keep their unbeaten streak alive. This was the first league encounter between these two sides, who had last met in the Coupe de France in 1996, with Clermont winning. Fast forward 25 years and PSG are a totally different squad, and despite missing a number of their biggest names, including Lionel Messi and Neymar, they still managed to field a starting XI that many teams would envy.

Clermont played a possession game early on but left space on the sides, which Achraf Hakimi took advantage of on the right, managing a strong cross that Arthur Desmas pushed away, only for Herrera to head home in the 20th minute. The visitors continued to press and create danger in the area, but goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, making his PSG debut in place of Keylor Navas, was strong.
