PSV striker Luuk de Jong to undergo Sevilla medical

The 28-year-old netted 32 goals for the Dutch club last season and Mexican outlet Record led the reports on Thursday which stated how he is close to joining the Andalusian team.

Now both Marca and Cadena Cope have furthered the reports and say that a deal worth €12.5m will be agreed on a four-year contract.

De Jong has netted 94 goals in the Eredivisie - the top-flight in the Netherlands - and his prolific nature is said to have attracted the attention of Los Rojiblancos.

However, he has endured underwhelming stints in England and Germany - with Newcastle United and Borussia Monchengladbach respectively - and now wants to prove himself outside of the Eredivisie.

The Netherlands international now looks set to be part of a renovation of Sevilla’s attacking ranks this summer, with Israeli striker Munas Dabbur already signed from RB Leipzig to aim at Europa League.
