Impending Leicester City arrival Odsonne Edouard has been backed to “handle” the step up from the Scottish Premiership to the Premier League.
After three prolific years at Celtic, including a spell playing under Brendan Rodgers, Edouard is on the verge of joining the Foxes for a fee of around £18million.
Edouard will compete with City legend Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Inheadacho, who ended last season in red-hot form, for a starting berth next season.
Former Rangers defender Alan Hutton believes Edouard will be a hit in England, but says it may take time for the 23-year-old to adapt to the higher standard.
“I’ve always said he’s (Edouard) a top-quality player that’s going to get better. He’s still only 23, his goal record up north has been fantastic.
