RB Leipzig and Christopher Nkunku sign a new agreement

Christopher Nkunku and the speculations about any transfer talks can end as the news of him committing his future with RB Leipzig comes to light. Nkunku has inked another agreement with the German club in the midst of interest from Manchester United, Liverpool, and PSG. The new agreement sees a salary increase for the player and a €60m (£50m) release clause as well from 2023 onwards.

Nkunku was high up on a few scouts' waitlists heading into the mid-year window after a noteworthy season with Leipzig that saw him lift the Bundesliga Player of the Season. The French international scored 20 goals and 13 assists while starting 31 games in the German first class in 2021/22, a critical enhancement for the consolidated count of 12 he recorded in the past season.
