Real Madrid eye Villarreal’s Gerard Moreno

After the shocking Everton exit, new manager Carlo Ancelotti plans to improve the Real Madrid squad after their second-place finish in La Liga last season. Gerard Moreno has been playing for Villareal for two years now, the 29-year-old has made 185 appearances so far amassing a tally of 82 goals and 27 assists. The 2020/21 season would be his career-best with 30 goals and 11 assisted in more than 46 matches for the Yellow Submarine, who would demand a massive transfer fee for him.

Despite his best efforts, Unai Emery’s side could not secure a champions league spot with a seventh-place finish in La Liga. His exploits with Villarreal caught the attention of Manchester United and Barcelona as well and now Real Madrid also joins the race as they search for a partner for Karim Benzema. Los Blancos are even linked with Everton’s Brazilian forward Richarlison.
