Real Madrid 'must sell' to balance their books

The club invested heavily in new signings over the summer with a total transfer bill of approximately €350m to bring in new talent such as Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Rodrygo Goes and Ferland Mendy.

The club were also busy in their player departures as for Marca, with Marcos Llorente, Keylor Navas, Raul De Tomás, Mateo Kovacic and Theo Hernandez among those to leave on permanent deals.

However, the club spent a lot more than what they received and the report states that they are now worried about possible punishments from La Liga or UEFA unless they generate more funds.

Two players who were heavily linked with departures over the summer but who ended up staying are James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale.

It is said that those two could be among those who the club pursue exits for while Mariano Diaz and Brahim Diaz could generate funds too.
