Real Madrid reaches the top of the La Liga

Real Madrid went to the top of La Liga by defeating Barcelona on Saturday at home by 2-1. In the 14th minute, Karim Benzema made a backheel while in the 28th minute the lead was doubled by the free-kick of Toni Kroos. At the 60th minute, Barcelona hit back through Oscar Mingueza, and later, the defender found almost the equalizer. The huge penalty appeal was waved away for Catalans when, after following a challenge by Ferland Mendy, Martin Braithwaite fell.

Barca went behind when Jordi Alba was tackled down by a hurdle by Federico Valverde to shut down the pitch.
