Real Madrid secured a narrow win against Real Betis

Real Madrid topped Betis 1-0 courtesy of a strike from Dani Carvajal. Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid went to the top of the early La Liga table with a 1-0 win over Real Betis on Saturday thanks to Dani Carvajal's second-half strike. After a strong start to the season, Madrid currently has seven points from their first three games, and the reported addition of Kylian Mbappe might give them another lift before the transfer market closes ahead.

Ancelotti, who returned to the club following Zinedine Zidane's resignation, has seen some of his harder decisions pay off thus far, with Gareth Bale and Isco flourishing after being reintroduced. While, early on, both teams looked dangerous, with Betis goalkeeper Rui Silva making a brilliant stop on Madrid defender Eder Militao in the seventh minute.
