On Saturday, Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Federico Valverde, and Vinicius Junior scored in Real Madrid's routine 4-1 win over Celta Vigo. Modric found home from outside the box right before half-time so that he could put Carlo Ancelotti's side back in front.
Vinicius Junior and Federico Valverde went on to fire goals in the second half. Real held the lead inside the opening quarter of an hour as Benzema slotted in a penalty. The referee had penalised Celta Vigo's Peruvian midfielder Renato Tapia for handball, followed by a VAR. Celta also won a penalty midway through the first half as Eder Militao obstructed a Goncalo Paciencia header with his arm. Striker Aspas didn't let go of the opportunity and secured a goal for the team. Madrid won another penalty when Benzema was fouled in the box by Hugo Mallo. Although, it was aptly saved by Celta.
