Real Madrid was Haaland's third option

Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. This is the order in which Erling Haaland's father, in the documentary 'Haaland, the big decision', expressed his and his son's preferences when it came to choosing a new destination after leaving Borussia Dortmund. 'The Times' had access to his comments and others even from the footballer.

"In our list, I think Manchester City is the best team. Bayern Munich is number 2. We have Real Madrid as number 3, Paris Saint-Germain as number 4.... We also have some English teams apart from City that are quite good, Liverpool and Chelsea. Then there's Barcelona. They're all more or less on the same line," Alfie Haaland commented in the footage.

Haaland acknowledged in the report that Pep Guardiola had a lot to do with his final decision.
