REPORT: Addae Earns Dreams Their First Away Win In NC's Competition

Dreams FC had to wait for extra hours to pick their first away win in the ongoing special competition organised by the Normalisation Committee of the GFA.

A heavy downpour at the Carl Reindorf Park on Wednesday forced their match week 12 fixture against Ebusua Dwarfs who played home away from home to be rained off and rescheduled.

The soggy nature of the pitch after the rains subsided made it impossible for the game to resume; by the laws of the game, the match had to be played at a later time within 24 hours.

Before the referee halted the game, with 50 minutes of action done, Dreams were leading by a lone goal scored by Samuel Larbi Borquaye in the early exchanges of the second half.

It was decided that the game had to be played at a different venue with the Tema Park the obvious destination. The game had to be continued from where it was halted.

The game resumed from the 50th-minute mark with Dreams holding on to their lone lead, but that wasn’t to last as Kingsley Nteng restored parity for Dwarfs on the hour mark with a lovely free kick.

The goal gave the home side some renewed spirit as the pushed for the winner.

Richard Addea punished Dwarfs defence after they were caught napping to slot home the second and eventually the winner for his side. That was virtually his last contribution of the game as he was withdrawn for Philemon Baffour in the 84th minute.

Ebusua Dwarfs huffed and buffed but it wasn’t meant to be as Winfred Dormon earned his first win and Dream’s first win of the competition after taking over from the Finnish Juha Pasoja who is away on a personal assignment.
