REPORT: Bechem United ended Berekum Chelsea's unbeaten run

Berekum Chelsea tasted their first defeat of the season by succumbing to a 2-1 score line to Bechem United on Sunday at the Nana Gyeabour Park.

Bechem United drew the first blood of the game through their top scorer, Charles Mensah with just 2 minutes of play to send the fans into a frenzy mood.

The home side continued with their pressure as they tried to consolidate their solitary lead but failed on countless attempts.

Bechem got the goal they desired but this time it was at the wrong side of the post as their defenders Agbesimah Kofi scored an own goal for the visitors on the 24th mark of the game.

The goal gave Berekem Chelsea the needed boost to attack their host for another goal, but just like Bechem they also squandered the various opportunities that came their way.

The Prince of Goals, Prince Adu Kwabena restored Bechem United’s lead on the stroke of half time – the much needed breather for the host ahead of the break.

Back from the break, Bechem United tried several means to consolidate the lead as they were unable to find the back of the net - Berekum Chelsea equally had some decent chances but failed to get the equaliser as they tasted their first defeat of the campaign.

Bechem United are the first side to put two goals past Berekum Chelsea this season as they have the best defensive set up in the league so far.
