REPORT: Great Olympics 0-1 WAFA

Eric Asamany’s first half strike was enough to earn WAFA their first win in five games after series of drawing and defeat at the Accra Sports Stadium against Great Olympics.

 It was the home side that started the game on the front foot as they tried to unsettle WAFA with some delightful play.

Great Olympics lacked the cutting edge to score the first goal of the game till, Forson Amankwah dribbled past two defenders to send the entire stadium into an ecstatic mood before turning the ball to Asamany to score the first goal of the game.

WAFA probed further for the second goal, but were woeful with their finishing as the half ended for with the visitors leading 1-0.

Back from recess, Great Olympics tried every possible means to get the equaliser, but squandered all the numerous chances that came their way.

WAFA game management and solid defending ensured they fetch their third win of the campaign.
