The Republic of Ireland's final home match of 2022 finishes in a 2-1 friendly loss to Norway. Ohi Omoijuanfo scored a late goal for the visitors who were there in the absence of Erling Haaland. Substitute Ohi Omoijuanfo took advantage of Erling Haaland's non-attendance as Norway fired back pretty late to defeat the Republic of Ireland 2-1 in Dublin.
Omoijuanfo grabbed the visitors' win with his first senior international goal at the Aviva Stadium after Alan Browne had cancelled out Leo Ostigard's opener. It was a kick in the gut for Stephen Kenny's squad, who had united after a petty first half to make the team more likely to emerge victorious in the game after the break. Ostigard set his run to perfection to get ahead of John Egan and head Martin Odegaard's corner past Gavin Bazunu to provide Norway with a well-deserved lead.
