Riyad Mahrez’s Hat Trick help City’s 5-0 victory over Burnley

Burnley settled for another disappointing run at Premier League after they conceded 5 goals to Manchester City at Etihad stadium. Riyad Mahrez netted thrice in the match and Benjamin Mendy and Ferran Torres also netted once each to complete the Burnely’s humiliating thrash.

City was dominant from the start when they opened the score in the first five minutes when Kevin De Bruyne set up Mahrez to grab his first goal of the evening and the Algerian international doubled his led in the 22nd minute with a neat finish. De Bruyne was absolutely lethal during the match setting up Mendy as well with four minutes left in time to increase their lead. Sky Blues were in no mood to be merciful in the second half either when Torres netted to take the tally to 4 which did not satisfy Mahrez who went in to score the first hattrick for City with a powerful header.
