Now that the major leagues of Europe have concluded this season Bayern Munich’s, Robert Lewandowski won Europe’s Golden Shoe with a record-breaking 41 goals in the Bundesliga to help Bayern retain the title for the 9th consecutive league title. The Polish player could have scored even more had he not missed four Bundesliga matches due to his knee injury he even missed the quarter-final’s legs against Paris Saint-Germain.
Lewandowski was competing with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, Juventus’s Cristiano Ronaldo, PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland and Andre Silva (Eintracht Frankfurt). The Bundesliga striker also broke Gerd Muller’s single-season record this season after missing out on the Shoe last season with just two goals.
