Roma beat Spezia in Serie A

The Aquilotti will compete against Verona in the league's first relegation play-off since 2005 for a spot in Serie A next season.  As Juventus defeated Udinese 1:0 on the road, the Giallorossi needed the three points to secure their status in the top six. After falling behind early on, Jose Mourinho's team found it challenging to come back, but they did it thanks to goals from Nicola Zalewski and a late penalty from Paulo Dybala to almost seal the victory.

Just a few minutes later, Stephan El Shaarawy attempted to test the Spezia goal, but Jeroen Zoet was able to deflect the ball over the crossbar. From that point on, the hosts began to have greater control over the game, but despite attempts from players like Andrea Belotti and Lorenzo Pellegrini, they were unable to beat Dutch custodian Zoet.
