Roma defeated Lecce 2-1 after scoring two goals in extra time

Despite losing his perfect penalty record in Italy, striker Romelu Lukaku made amends with a last-minute winner. The Belgian should have given the hosts an ideal start, but his penalty attempt was saved by Lecce goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone after only five minutes.

It was Lukaku's first penalty miss in Serie A, despite having scored 14 times from the spot for Inter. In the 71st minute, Lameck Banda ran down the left and sent the ball to Pontus Almqvist, who swept it into the bottom left corner. The visitors seemed to be on their way to their first win in seven meetings until Iranian replacement Sardar Azmoun headed in Nicola Zalewski's cross in the opening minute of added time. In less than three minutes, the Stadio Olimpico audience transformed from despair to pleasure as Lukaku curled Dybala's through pass into the upper left corner helping the side to three more points.
