Roma secures win against Atlanta 1-4 in the Italian League

Atalanta's 10-match undefeated run in Serie A came to an end as Roma thrashed them 4-1 at the Gewiss Stadium. The first half finished with Roma ahead by two goals to one, with Tammy Abraham and Nicolo Zaniolo scoring two goals for the capital club in the first two minutes and 27 seconds, and Atlanta responding with a reverse goal scored by Brian Cristante via an own goal in the final seconds of the half.

Roma extended their lead in the second half, adding two more goals through Chris Smalling and Tammy Abraham in the 72nd and 82nd minutes, respectively. The result moved Roma into the fifth position with 31 points, while Atlanta dropped to third place with 37 points. La Dea will travel to Liguria on Tuesday to play relegation-threatened Genoa, while Roma will host Sampdoria on Wednesday.
