Ronald Koeman’s newest addition Luuk de Jong would start training soon

Barcelona despite the financial distress signed five players in the summer transfer window, first, they landed Sergio Aguero to make up for Luis Suarez’s departure last season. Then Lionel Messi left another gap in the forward arena to make up for that manager Ronald Koeman brought in Luuk De Jong on a temporary basis from Sevilla after their negotiations with Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Atleti’s Joao Felix did not result in their favor.

The 31-year-old Dutchman would pair up well with Memphis Depay as well another big signing by Barcelona this season. De Jong has landed in Barcelona and would have to clear his medical before reporting for practice. Barca returns to action after the international break and would face Sevilla without Ousmane Dembele, Ansu Fati, and Aguero. All the three players are out of the lineup due to injuries, giving de Jong a chance to shine.
