Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal to protect a point in Manchester United’s 1-1 draw against Chelsea in Thursday's Premier League matchup at Old Trafford. Ronaldo netted just two minutes after Chelsea’s 60th-minute lead through Marcos Alonso. Chelsea neglected to dig into a large group of changes in a challenge between two groups whose turbulent seasons are creating an issue with their top-four spot.
The outcome has little effect on the Premier League standings. Chelsea stays an agreeable third, six points clear of Arsenal in fourth and eight points above fifth-set Tottenham on the other hand United is further three points back in 6th.
