Rooney makes an appeal to Messi to move to the Premier League

Wayne Rooney has made an appeal to Lionel Messi to move to the Premier League with either Manchester City or Manchester United, saying that the Argentine might win a seventh Ballon d’Or if he moved to England. Messi- believed to be Barcelona’s greatest ever goalscorer and player is all set to leave the Camp Nou after he informed club officials that he would like to put a stop to his current contract on Tuesday. The news had shocked the whole of European football with every reputed club being linked with transfer. United and City are believed to be the possible destinations for the player and Rooney firmly believes that Messi would grow at either with the type of players he would be surrounded. He also discouraged a move to MLS for the time being.
