Saka goal keeps Arsenal in Champions League spots

Arsenal returned to winning ways following defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday with a 0-1 win against Aston Villa in the day's only Premier League clash. It was a game of few chances, but Bukayo Saka's goal from outside the box after 30 minutes meant Arsenal moved onto 54 points, four clear of Man Utd and with a game in hand. For Aston Villa, it is their second straight loss and they remain ninth.

The first period was devoid of real goalmouth action, but Arsenal definitely looked the more dangerous. In the second period, Arsenal started better, but Aston Villa picked up and came within the width of the post of equalising in the second half. Villa possibly deserved a draw, but Arsenal were relatively comfortable in the second half in a match which they started well.
