Sam Allardyce was delighted by West Brom’s performance, post Semi Ajayi’s red card. However, the veteran manager grieved over the missed chances in a goalless Premier League draw at Burney that has not done much in terms of their survival prospects.
Matej Vydra couldn’t move cleanly through on goal, thanks to Ajayi who was given marching orders in the first half. Burley was still unable to capitalize on the advantage with opponents railing after the interval. Mbaye Diagne rattles on top of the crossbar from close range while Matheus Pereira’s efforts had been blocked on the line by Burnley defender James Tarkowski on a windy afternoon at Turf Moor.
Allardyce was motivated by the way his side fared but still accepted that they needed to begin winning matches as they sat 11 points afar of Premier League safety.
