The Belgian side made the transfer official on Thursday. Vines has signed a three-year contract. The Rapids will receive $2 million for their homegrown player—a record fee for the club.
The fee will be just below Vine's market value—the deal can, however, grow by an additional $1 million thanks to performance-based add-ons.
The 22-year-old has made eight appearances for the Rapids this season (one goal and one assist) has steadily improved his market value since 2019 from $275,000 to now $3.3 million. Vines was also a big part of the US men's national team side that won the Gold Cup this summer.
