Sampdoria’s Antonio Candreva takes advantage of Spezia’ mistakes

Sampdoria found a 2-1 win against Spezia on Friday. Antonio Candreva scored the second goal of the game to put Sampdoria ahead in Serie A. The two teams have a difference of just one point on the table, it was a tough match for the side with the need to win almost necessary as Roberto D’Aversa and Roberto De Zerbi are on the verge of being sacked if positive results are not seen soon. The Blucerchiati first went ahead with a goal in 15 minutes.

Candreva was leading the home side and curled a free-kick towards the goal and forced Emmanuel Gyasi to push it into his net as Ivan Provedel failed to stop that. The home side was leading the possession in the first half, but Spezia took control in the second half, and substitute Daniele Verde pulled one back in stoppage time but could not force a draw.
