Sassuolo carried on an unconquered away run

Finally, Sassuolo and Sampdoria came into their Serie A Round 14 fixture. But, they both come on different notes. Claudio Ranieri has managed to bring laurels to La Samp’s Serie A campaign. The credit goes to continuous wins over Crotone and Hellas Verona. However, the Neroverdi have seen their top-four aspirations galloped with losses. They lost to Milan and Inter.  And, they drew with Roma and Fiorentina.

Roberto De Zerbi needed his side to take home the points. This will strengthen their European chances. Space opened up for the Black and Greens to go into the shortened winter break. It is due to Juventus crashing and burning at odds with La Viola at home. There is a different story on the other hand. Sampdoria’s dominance would have put them in breathing space in Europa League spaces.
