Scaloni close to renewing with Argentina

All of Argentina are keen for Scaloni to renew his contract with the AFA, and the deal is on the verge of being done after a few days of tug-of-war, with the coach on holiday in Mallorca.

'Relevo' reports that the AFA, led by Tapia, held a virtual meeting with Scaloni and Bjorn Bezemer, managing director of ROOF, his representation agency. The result was positive in the negotiations.

Matias Aldao, Scaloni's former agent, was also present. The AFA is clear that it is he who must take charge of the 'Albiceleste' in the coming years and there are no other options on the table.
