After Friday's World Cup 2022 draw, Qatar versus Ecuador was expected to be the opening game at the tournament.
However, FIFA published the match schedule late on Friday night and it will actually begin with Senegal against the Netherlands.
That match will kick off at 11:00 CET at the Al Thumama stadium as part of a quadruple header. England take on Iran at 14:00 CET before Qatar face Ecuador at 17:00 CET. The final game of the day will see USA take on Wales/Scotland/Ukraine at 20:00 CET. The final day of the group phase will end on 2nd December and the last 16 games will begin the following day. The third and fourth place play-off is on 17th December and the final is on 18th December.
