Liverpool are seriously exploring the possibility of signing German winger Serge Gnabry, a player for Bayern Munich, as an enhancement to their attacking line.
This comes amid the English team's need to strengthen the left flank following the departure of Luis Diaz and the failure of the attempt to use Wirtz as a substitute for Cody Gakpo.
Gnabry's contract with Bayern Munich expires next June, and the 30-year-old player is an attractive target for the Reds due to his experience and ability to make a difference in attack. His current salary ranges between 17 and 20 million euros annually, heavy cost, but his experience and attacking versatility make Liverpool seriously consider signing him.
Gnabry still prefers to renew his contract with Bayern Munich, but he might accept a pay cut to stay at the German club, which opens the door for Liverpool to intervene strongly if negotiations fail.
