Tottenham midfielder Erik Lamela is on the summer target list for the Italian side Bologna. Lamela’s term at Tottenham has 18 more months left and Serie A side wishes to sign a deal with the 29-year-old Argentinian early on. Though their priority right now is AC Milan’s target Riccardo Orsolini and Lamela would be an ideal match to his skills if Bologna loses out on signing with Orsolini.
The Argentinian had moved from Roma to the Premier League side in 2013 for a £25.7million deal and has spent his eight years with Spurs. In this season’s 29 appearances he was given five starts under Jose Mourinho this season. Bologna sporting director Walter Sabatini believes he would be ideally suited for a switch to the Italian side and he is the perfect substitute for Orsolini.
