Serie A: Juventus got +16 points over Napoli by winning 2-1 away

Juventus emerged with a dramatic and controversial 2-1 win at the Stadio San Paolo, with Alex Meret and Miralem Pjanic sent off, Lorenzo Insigne missing a late penalty.

Juventus clearly dominated by ball-possession and tactically the whole first-half, thanks to Meret's mistake which forced home side to remain in 10 after a foul over Ronaldo. Pjanic scored from free-kick.

Napoli weren't so good to react, and Bianconeri found the net for second time by a header from Emre Can.

In second half, Juventus relaxed and soon remained in 10 too because of Pjanic's double yellow card. Napoli fought by rage and just netted by Callejòn.

The final minutes were controversial because Napoli had a quite doubtful penalty missed by Insigne and later referee likely avoided to send off Koulibaly after a bad foul.

This result opened up the gap at the top of the table to 16 points.
