Serie A: Torino defeats Genoa 3-2

Josip Brekalo inspires Granata to force a win against Genoa by 3-2 on Friday. Torino was hosting Genoa at Stadio Olimpico di Torino, as the visitors’ coach Davide Ballardini was desperate for a win. Ivan Juric’s men took a lead in just 13 minutes with a carefully coordinated goal by Christian Ansaldi and Antonio Sanabria, as the header flew into the net neatly to give them a lead. Genoa was visibly struggling against Torino and another slip at the back saw them down by 2-0 in no time.

Tommaso Pobega netted the second goal of the match in the 31st minute as Torino was leading strong. Pablo Galdames and Yayah Kallon joined the team in the second half. Mattia Destro then cut the lead in half with 20 minutes left in the match. Brekalo then put Torino back into the two-goal lead as the team sailed to a comfortable win despite the late efforts of a comeback by Genoa.
