Osasuna beat Sevilla 2-1 after extra time on Wednesday, in a match for the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey. The Andalusians were taken by surprise by the sensation of the Spanish championship, getting in the way of another race.
Chimy Ávila opened the scoring in the first with a goal that made Osasuna dream easily. The answer only reached 90, at the worst possible time for those leading the scoreboard. En-Nesyri saved the Andalusians from immediate defeat, inevitable in extra time, when Ez Abde 'sat down' Sevilla's defense and scored the winning goal.
The Andalusians are in 15th place in La Liga, outside the Champions League, in an attempt to enter the 'eighth' of the Europa League and much lower than imagined. Osasuna, on the other hand, is having an above-average season. After the 10th place last season, the Pamplona team is in seventh place in La Liga.
