Southampton bypasses Brentford with the 4-1 win

Substitute Che Adams put on quite a show as Southampton leapfrogs over Brentford on the Premier League table. Jan Bednarek set the team for an early lead before Vitaly Janelt equalized the score with a beautiful volley. Southampton then made their way back into the match in the first half itself when Armando Broja and Che Adams scored and put the game out of reach for the newly-promoted side. Ralph Hasenhuttl's side posted a 4-1 victory at St Mary’s Stadium.

The visiting goalkeeper Alvaro Fernandez scored their own goal and helped Saints climb to 11th position in the Premier League. The other side tried their best with a late comeback. Later in the weekend Southampton will visit Molineux and take on Wolves and Brentford would travel to Anfield.
