Southampton FC will be hopeful that the January transfer window will help them improve their push to return to the Premier League. The Saints had an extremely busy summer transfer window, with manager Russell Martin having to balance numerous new players arriving with some significant losses. Alex McCarthy has spent the last year or so on the bench at Southampton after briefly being the club's first-choice goalkeeper. Joe Aribo, the 27-year-old has made 44 appearances for the club and had only two goals with no assists to show for it. Che Adams, the 27-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season, and it's believed he has plenty of choices, with Premier League club Burnley the latest to express interest.
