Ansu Fati fired his first goal for Spain in over two years as Luis Enrique’s men beat Jordan 3-1 in a World Cup warm-up friendly in Amman. The 20-year-old Barcelona has gone through many injury issues for most of that duration but instantly bounced back and restored his coach’s faith to involve him with a cogent game. Fati and Marco Asensio, two of the players whose addition in the World Cup squad was second-guessed in a few quarters, came together for the opener in the 13th minute.
Real Madrid forward Asensio ran forward and aided Fati, who shot home from inside the area, for his second Spain goal in five appearances. Another Barcelona young-fire, Gavi, doubled Spain's domineering lead early in the second half with a nice finish, firing home when the ball broke to him in the box.
