Spain: Will seventh go to the Europa League?

The things is that it is now much more difficult for the seventh to qualify for the Europa League much more difficult since it is unlikely the winner will finish inside the top six in the league.

Nine points separate third and tenth in the league and the teams in the European spots keeps changing every week because of how even it is.

Assuming Atletico, Valencia, Sevilla and Getafe do not drop many points, third to sixth places will be occupied by those four sides so the rest will be fighting for seventh.

Villarreal (seventh with 34 points), Real Sociedad, Athletic Bilbao, Granada, Osasuna and Real Betis (in 12th) are separated by just eight points.

So, the chances of seventh going to the Europa League are the following: Granada, Real Sociedad or Athletic must win and come inside the top six for seventh to get into the Europa League.
